 Vizag, also known as Visakhapatnam, is a port city located in the southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Here are some lesser-known facts about Vizag: The city is home to the oldest shipyard in India, the Hindustan Shipyard Limited, which was established in 1941. The INS Kursura Submarine Museum in Vizag is the only submarine museum in India and one of its kind in Asia. Vizag has one of the largest and busiest seaports in India, handling cargo such as iron ore, coal, and petroleum. The city has a unique beach called Yarada Beach, which is surrounded by hills on three sides and the Bay of Bengal on the other.
